15th International Girl Scout Camp, Korea

 

 

A total of 7 leaders and 53 guides from participated in the 15th International Girl Scout Camp, Korea. The 5 day camp which was held from 28thJuly to 5th August was in Goseong World Jamboree, which is the camp site the 17th World Jamboree in 1991 was held and it is located in the East sea abutting the pacific and has beautiful beaches and world famous-Mt. Guemgang.

The objective of  2015 Girl Scout International Camp, Korea has the aim of providing Girl Scouts/Guides and Scouts with opportunities: - to radiate their youthfulness by participating in a variety of activities which meet their needs - to foster an appreciation for nature and responsibility for nature conservation through camping in nature - to enhance world citizenship by interacting with participants who have diverse backgrounds, sharing international friendship and caring each other through camping life

The camp programme includes a grand opening ceremony where 7000 participants gathered and had a colorful event. Other activities includes Young leaders night, International Exhibition

Course Activity - Adventure Activity: Tracking / Hang-glider Simulator / Forest Visit / EPP Glider, etc - Water Activity: Theme Park on the water/ Rafting / Kayak/ Water-ball Jump, etc –

 

Field Trip: Traditional Korean Village or Historical Site Tour - Special Activity: Military experience / Hiking / New sports, etc
